I have quite a few visions. For today though, I'm going to focus on what I would put on my vision board for relaxation, a reward for a job well done and my ultimate retirement plan. I think about retirement often. I want to be in a position so that if I want to go somewhere, I can do so, without having to check my bank account. Really? You betcha! I don't want to have to tell my kids I can't come see them because airfare is too expensive this month. I want to be able to bring the entire family down to the beach cottage for relaxation and fun! Yes, this is what I want! I got really clear on that a couple months ago. So... what exactly is a vision board? Well it can be anything you want really, as long as it encompasses your vision for your future. A good way to do this is to create a treasure map. Get some foam board and after you've answered the questions about yourself from the other days blog, you can began your vision board. You can cut magazine clippings, draw pictures, or print them from online to create your vision. Be as specific as possible. I want my cottage either in the Bahamas or Belize, so that's where my pictures are from. This vision board should be created as if all your goals and dreams have been realized. I will even let my kids help me so they too can learn how to do it! They're especially great at it, because they know no limits yet. Their imagination is huge and can take mine even further.
Make the map about only 1 thing. You can make it on anything, but I love foam board and I like my visions big! Don't forget to put yourself in the scene and don't put anything undesirable on there. Make a reference to who or whatever you consider the higher intelligence (God, buddha, etc.) and put affirmations on your board. "This beach cottage is such a great family place for us to come and be together and make wonderful memories. We love sea shelling here!" Remember to have fun while doing it. I actually couldn't help myself but to be completely giddy the whole time I do these.
Another great idea from The Creative Visualization Workbook by Shakti Gawain. It's also helpful to diffuse your favorite doTerra essential oil! Citrus Bliss take me away!!
