How I beat MRSA!

MRSA is now considered a superbug.  If you're one of the lucky ones, then maybe a couple of  rounds of antibiotics will get it.  This was not my experience and if you have a compromised immune system already from lack of sleep, stress, etc., then it's going to be a lot harder for your body to take care of it.  You can google MRSA, go to Dr. Oz, the CDC, NIH and will find a host of information regarding these superbugs and how they're not responding to drugs.  They are antibiotic resistant strains.  This is what I was dealing with.  I'm going to get graphic and real here.  There will be some pictures below that might be hard for some of you to see.  So be warned there's open skin and puss etc.  I've seen worse photos, but these are of my infections personally.  This one is long, but bear with me and read all of it, because you could help someone not have to go through what I did.

The first one, which the majority of docs and myself belief was started from a brown recluse bite, was in August of 2013.  And yes, I saw two brown recluses in my truck within days of the infection.  Also, none of my other spots acted like the first.  It was on my glute-ham tie-in on the back of my left leg.  That's where your butt check meets your hamstring.  It started out as a pin dot, was hot, swollen and then began turning purple underneath.  I got to where I could barely walk.  I was doing all the natural things listed in the Staph and MRSA forums including soaking in garlic baths for 2 hours a day.  After a few days it was so painful I wasn't sleeping and had it lanced and started round one of Bactrim.  I took very good care of the area, but because of all the drainage and tape I had to use another area on my leg where the tape was got a spot.  So round 2 of Bactrim, this time with side effects. Swelling tongue and bottom half of my face.  The picture below is one the first site.

It took 2 full months to finally get some skin healing over.  Not to mention, I had to bleach everything in the house, not love on my kids for fear of giving it to them and religiously be cleaning, washing, sterilizing. It was a 24/7 job.   Before that one had healed, I got another couple.  This time on my stomach.  I didn't go to the doctor for those.  I had discovered drawing salve and just managed it on my own.  Then Thanksgiving week in 2013, I felt another one.  This one on my face and man it hurt!  My brother, who is a chiropractor, told me I should go because it was moving up my body and close to my temple (the black stuff is drawing salve).  So round 3 of meds.  This time clindamycin.  That one heals up.  However, I still didn't feel well at all.  I felt horrible.  At this point it really began a fight to get up everyday and function.  These aren't nearly all of my spots, but you get the picture.

Another couple weeks went by and smaller ones began popping up.  On my back, in my armpit and so on.  I managed them with garlic compresses, drawing salve, hibiclens, bleach baths, colloidal silver, oreganol P73 and tea tree oil (remember these oils because they were offline and did not work).  These weren't as severe as some of the first ones and I thought just maybe they were getting better.  Then in June 2014 I had this horrible pain on my face.  I got into the dermatologist immediately and upon first glance he said it was cystic acne.  What?  I've never had acne in my life!  He's the doc though, so I went with it.  I should have been more clear about the pain, but I have a high tolerance and knew cystic acne could be painful.  I left the next day for vacation and my face grew so painful I just cried.  It was 3 days before I was back and it was a weekend, so as soon as Monday came around I went back in.  As soon as he saw me, he knew it wasn't acne.  He cultured it immediately and once again MRSA. This time it was Cipro and boy was it awful.  I was already dragging, but it put me in the ground.  Switched it out for Doxy and went on a full month.

After a month, I was doing some better and I thought, "Hey, maybe it's gone!"  Nope!  About a couple of weeks passed and it happened again.  I went through a few more docs and finally landed on a nurse practitioner who was a Godsend.  She told me that we know drugs don't work for MRSA and the more you take the more it crashes your immune system.  She knew what would work and was completely convinced.  Essential Oils!  Are you freaking kidding me?  So I said, "You did hear me say that I took oregano and tea tree right? AND they didn't work!"  She shook her and said, "Yes, but these are very different from what you took."  I thought, well what do I have to lose.  I don't want to go to infectious disease and was certain this MRSA was going to do me in.  So, I agreed.  She told me to go see my yoga instructor. This is where I could kick myself.  You see, the previous year, that same yoga instructor sent oils to me through a mutual client.  She sent me the very thing to help me and I dismissed it, because "those were the same oils I was taking."  Well, NO THEY WEREN'T! I was dead wrong.  I walked in and sat down with her and we got out the Modern Essentials book for the MRSA and staph protocols.  She gave me what I needed to get started and I ordered the Every Oil Kit.  Within 24 hours my spots were half the size.  Within 3 days, the spots were closed and completely disappearing.  Now I'm working in the scars and tissue damage it left on my face.  The pictures below show the first 3 days and the last one was from this morning.  I started this protocol on October 30th, 2014 and had a checkup on November 25th, 2014 and got the all clear!

The worst thing wasn't just the painful infection sites, but the crippling fatigue, the helplessness and the mental havoc!  It was debilitating.  You keep going though, because people depend in you and you've never been a quitter!  You can't give in to the thoughts and frustrations and you carry the facade.  I'm so grateful it's over though and I can have energy, do things with my family again and actually hug and kids my children without being in total fear of making them sick.  I know IT'S GONE!  Please, please share with anyone that has Staph or MRSA!

Protocol:
FYI this protocol is for adults.  The protocol for a child would be different.  Please contact me for help with children.  Some of these oils need to be diluted and are recommended only topically for them.  But for adults this is what worked for me.  Also, do not try this with the common oils you get at the health food store.  They're not the same and they are not pure enough to take internally!

In a veggie cap:
12 drops On Guard
6 drops Oregano
2 drops Peppermint (Peppermint can aggravate the sites and cause discomfort.  It only caused discomfort my first couple of doses and it went away.  If it's too uncomfortable for you then take it out of the protocol.)
2 drops Lemon

Take the veggie cap every 4-8 hours.  I took mine every 4!

Then I did the following every 2 hours (other than sleeping and at work, but tried to be religious about it):
2-5 drops Oregano
2-5 drops On Guard
2-5 drops Frankincense
2-5 drops Peppermint
2-5 drops Lemon
I layered these on the bottoms on both feet.

I did both of those for 2 weeks straight.  Oregano takes longer for your liver to process, so after 2 weeks you need to take it out for a week.  So the 3rd week I still did the regimen minus the Oregano.  On the 4th week I added it back in.  So I did this regimen for 1 month total.  Some may need it longer.  It depends on the depth of the infection.  I think I could have just done 2 weeks, but I wanted to be sure it was gone!

I took the Life Long Vitality Pack from day 1 and continue to take those.  They are amazing and begin fighting inflammation from inside the cells where medications can't reach.  I can't say enough about these! Now that the spots were closed, I'm using the Verage Skin Care Collection to clear my scarring and discoloration and it's working nicely!  It has Melaluca (kills MRSA and staph) in the cleanser, Frankincense, Lavender, Myrrh, Hawaiian Sandalwood, Helichrysum and Rose in it to deal with the scarring and discoloration.  There are many other oil and benefits to this collection, but that's just in regards to the MRSA.

If you want to talk and get more information and support with this, I'm more than happy to help in any way!  For those of you need the science, I've attached a video with one of the top orthopedics in the country who uses doTerra for every aspect of his surgeries and is also breaking new ground with them.  It was where I got a better understanding and why it worked and how and I had my light bulb moment.  Also, go to Aromatic Science.  All the studies and journals are in one place and they include all the PubMed entries.  You can always go to PubMed.  For more information on doTerra Essential Oils go to my Essential Oils page.
