Depression... Who me?

Depression.  That's a big one!  Well, that word wasn't one I would have used to characterize myself, but in all honesty I was and had been for years.  I didn't like medication though, so that was never an option.  As the MRSA situation came to a head, I had some thoughts that disturbed me.  I don't think I would've ever acted on them, but the fact that I had them concerned me and I knew something had to change.  Since the DoTerra MRSA protocol was working, I knew they had to have something for depression.  I did my research and my biggest issue was my sleeping patterns or actually a lack thereof.  So, I did some research.  I read about blue light and how that affects your melatonin release.  FYI, melatonin begins releasing between 9-10pm.  If you're still looking at the TV, iPad, phone etc., it will mess with this process and delay it.  Most nights now my routine is:  put the kids to bed at 8pm, go up and take a bath if I have time, sometimes I'll light a lavender candle, put on my Liquid Ambien mixture (see below) review my goals and intentions and do my visualizations.   Immediately, I was sleeping better and getting good sleep.  My dreams before the oils and this bedtime routine were disturbed.  I worked constantly in them and my subconscious thoughts took over at night.  Insomnia was really wreaking havoc on my mind and emotions. With the oils and new habits my dreams became more light hearted and what you would prefer your dreams be.  They no longer zapped me physically and mentally.  After a couple weeks, I then decided to try Balance in the rollerball.  Wow!  That really put my sleep much deeper.  I'm still trying to decide which way I like it better, but either way it works for me.  The Liquid Ambien recipe is:  20 drops Lavender, 7 drops Vetiver and I put 10 drops Balance in.  Then fill it with the doTerra Fractionated Coconut Oil.  Some of you will read this and be saying, "I just can't go to bed that early."  For me, it had to be a priority for healing and even if you can't do it every night, it's worth trying a few nights a week at least.  Your body and mind will thank you for it. 

During the day I take 5-HTP and L-theanine to help my Gamma waves and I utilize the DoTerra mood management chart.  Just smelling the oils below can really calm, lift and balance your moods and the diffuser really makes it's easy!  A drop or 2 and it'll run for up to 8hrs!  I've been a much better person and am enjoying sharing this with others!  I know it can help you too!
