Passio - Idol inspiration

Passion.  No, I'm not talking about an intimate passion.  The passion I'm talking about is from the root word passio, which means suffering.  I actually heard this for the first time last night watching a recording of American Idol.  This kid was traveling across the country, living on the streets and he had this great knowledge.  How had I missed that life lesson?  I should have known this!  Everything I'm passionate about has come with great sacrifice and work and ... yes, great suffering.  I just never thought of it in those terms.  In that moment, that kid gave me a gift.  I truly understood why I do what I do and sometimes why I may be a little much for some people.

True passions are stirred in you from suffering!  Mine definitely have been.  My growth, career and spiritual healing have come from passio.  Think on your passions and where they originated from?  Did yours come from these sufferings as well?  I would bet so!  The amazing thing about this though, is that really great things have come from it and there will be more.  I have spoken with quite a few people this week and know many that are experiencing suffering unlike anything I've ever endured.  Some of you have pains that honestly will never end, but even with that I hope that this will comfort you as it did me.  It has eased some pain and renewed the passions already there, because I know there is something great ahead for me and I know there is for you too!  Keep going, keep this in your mind as you are dealing with your passio, be comforted and know with it comes beautiful things!
