Dr. Paul Winterton came onto my radar after my MRSA issues. "Paul William Winterton, MD, earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in 1993 and completed his orthopedic residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in 1998. He completed fellowship training at the Institute for Bone and Joint Disorders in Phoenix, Arizona in Sports Medicine, Shoulder and Knee Arthoscopy, and Foot and Ankle Reconstruction. In 2009 Dr. Winterton was elected as a member of the Board of Counselors of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Winterton is also a member of the Executive Council of the Utah State Orthopedics Society." He's one of the doctors leading the way for essential oils in the medical field. Essential oils have always been here and will continue to be here. The key is getting the best quality of oils possible and knowing that they can work within and compliment the Western approach to medicine.
Last night on the news they ran a story about doTerra Essential Oils and at the end of the video they said that there was no science and no doctors willing to speak about them. Hmmm....I wonder where they are getting their research? There's loads of research (ie. PubMed, Aromatic Science, etc.) and plenty of doctors, NP's, PA's, chiropractors etc. using them daily.
Here's a breakdown of the physiology of essential oils.
I've attached a video for you as Dr. Winterton speaks on healthcare, where it's headed and how he's using oils in his practice. It's quite amazing!
